A repipe is when new hot and cold water pipes are installed inside your home to replace the existing copper or galvanized pipes already there.  

When copper and galvanized pipes begin to fail and leak,it usually means that there will be more leaks in the coming. Finding and repairing each leak can be costly, and exasperating. In the long run, it ma be less expensive to simply repipe, removing the risk of leaks causing damage to your home.  Call Billy the Sunshine Plumber to see if a repipe is your most efficient solution.

You can expect the entire process to take approximately 3 days. We break our repipe into three parts to make is a convenient for you as possible. 

  1. The actual repiping requires a permit from the city, and will take 1 to 2 days, depending on the size of your home.

  2. Afterwards, there will be a city inspection to ensure everything is up to code.

  3. Once the inspection is passed, we will patch all drywall holes made to install the new piping.

Only if you want to. Repiping is construction work, so there will be workers and activity in your home. But not every room will be affected. You can stay at home or take the opportunity to do some errands or visit a friend. We do our best to keep the process as convenient as possible. We know how difficult it is to be with water for your home, so by the end of the first day, we strive to ensure that there will be water available in at in least one bathroom for you to use overnight.
